Hey, glad you could make it here! I'm Kaylin, a freelance photographer located in Birmingham, AL.

Photography has always been something I was interested in, even as a kiddo. I grew up in the weird in-between period between dial-up internet and the iPhone, so I was exposed to unique forms of digital art from a young age. There's pictures circling around my parents' computer that I took when I was a kid where I was pretending to take candid photos of myself. Yeah, they're pretty rough.

In high school, I got into film-making and video editing, so I was always the go-to person for video-related group projects. However, I never found that to be my true passion. In my Freshman year of college, I bought my first camera, which is the same camera I use nowadays. I've kept (most of) my work since getting that camera on this site, to show off my improvement in my hobby. 

 

Lately, the thing that's been keeping me going throughout this hobby is being able to work with unique people with unique personalities and unique faces. As I always tell the people that tell me cameras make them nervous: my camera makes no one look bad except me. Trust me on that.
